Mom's Birthday

Of course, I as the mother don't get to celebrate like my kids. But this year is a "milestone" in that I turn 35 today. It is hard to believe that when my daughter turns 35 I will be 70! That makes me feel old...

Anyway, we had a nice day....went to church--visited Athens Church, then out to lunch and met a couple from there. Grandmama & Grandad were here when we got home to get the boys for the night. Richard & I then took a nap...

I had to go & clean out my desk at the office...my broker is consolidating offices, so I volunteered to give up my desk, since I am never there! The only problem with that is that I had to go & box up what was there! Now I have to find a place to put it at home...What a way to spend my birthday! (better than getting fired, I guess--oh yeah, been there done that!)

I had a special message from my mom via text page this AM. My parents are in France for 3 weeks...A favorite place my grandmother visited in France was Giverny...home of Monet. Her favorite set of his paintings were the lily pad/pond/bridge ones which were painted at Giverny...Mom took a little picture of my grandparents and had a moment "with" them there. How special that that day of their trip was today! I really miss my Gran! She always made birthdays so special! I got the text page & burst into tears...Richard was like are you ok? I said yes...just having a moment! (darn hormones!!) :)

Tonite we went to Longhorn's for a birthday/anniversary dinner. Our 13th anniversary is Tuesday! Who'd thought that at 13 years of marriage we'd be having another baby!?!?! Certainly not me! But God had another plan!

Counting down....3 weeks and 4 days!

I have another ultrasound tomorrow to check bio-physical...I will post how big she is! 2 weeks ago 5 lbs & 1 oz...about...

Chuck E. Cheese's Birthday Extraordinaire!

Tommy was SO excited to have his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's!! Tyler has had several there, but Tommy hasn't any!!

He had fun with about 6 or 7 of his friends! He was so excited to be the BIRTHDAY BOY! He got lots of tokens plus 100 tickets! He enjoyed skee ball the best!

He ate his pizza, and then did the chicken dance with Chuck E. himself! He had such fun singing and dancing! Then just smiled as they all sang "Happy Birthday". He got a special birthday medal, made a wish & blew out his 8 candles! He picked out the chocolate rectangle cake...yum yum yum!! Then he got to open his great presents (thanks everyone!)!!

It was a fun day! We all came home exhausted & took a long nap! :)

Birthday Dinner

Well tonight for dinner we had Tommy's 8th birthday celebration at Inoko's. He hasn't had a birthday celebrated there, so he was excited when he realized he could eat wherever he wanted. Beth & kids came plus Aunt Kelly. Tommy got to open presents after we ordered. He got a Transformer from Aunt Beth et al. He got a Hot Wheels holder from Tyler and a Zoom-o from us. Aunt Kelly gave him $8. He made a special request of our chef--to make a choo-choo after the onion volcano. Chef Tony obliged. Come to find out Chef Tony just graduated from North Oconee and is going to go to Valdosta State to go thru ROTC then will join the Navy, which is exactly what Chelsea (Hayley's riding buddy at the barn) is going to do! So Beth spent the dinner "matchmaking" by texting Chelsea all of his pertinent info! He was embarrassed...

Tommy jumped up and down when they started to come playing the drum for the birthday song & just grinned while they sang! He was so happy that even the candle on the piece of cheesecake was GREEN! Chef Tony & Server Ansley made it a special dinner!

Dream Come True...

This is Tyler's 2nd year of playing rec league baseball. He LOVES it! All of last year he begged his coaches to play catcher and then begged me all year since then to go & buy catcher gear. Finally tonite he got his chance! He was so excited! He had to work to get "the stance" just right, but he had fun doing it! (no, I didn't have to buy the gear--it belongs to the team)

TV Tonight

A favorite time together for me and Tommy is eating popcorn, having some juice and watching "So You Think You Can Dance" on TV. Well, tonight we were laying on my bed as part of our routine, I was putting a handful on my rather large (33 week pregnant) belly. He usually reprimands me to eat only 1 piece at a time. But when he saw what I was doing, he then put a handful on his ever small belly on the only place that has any depth--his sternum and ate it one kernal at a time...

Oh the moments of motherhood! Such a joy!

Welcome to our BLOG! Richard just asked me what possessed me to do this? I said it'll be fun & a good way to share our family with friends & family. Also I am inspired by my friend Kristal Huff Mensonides' (who was in my wedding) blog about her son. It has been fun to watch him grow over the past year + via their blog!

I take plenty of pictures & I am sure there are going to be thousands more with the soon arrival of Katie Jane!
