So much for a restful day at home...we had to start getting the nursery sorted out. As many of you know, due to the loss of our third son Tag, I am not really "doing" the nursery for Katie Jane. Richard, boys, Beth, Nana, and whoever else wants to join in are going to do it while I am in the hospital, since I will be there 3 nights. But I really needed to sort through the MESS (as you can see from 2nd picture above) to SEE what I really had & if I needed anything else prior to her arrival. BTW--the answer is NO! We had to start by moving out the fooz ball table, which Tommy gladly played while waiting on the rest of us to start the next step...
The next part of the preparation was putting the changing table together that I had ordered online. It is the coolest one I have ever seen...it converts to a DESK after done using to change diapers! The boys were very excited to help Richard put it together. I did have to call in back-up aka Beth to help me sort through all of Katie Jane's STUFF! I was rather overwhelmed. She is going to one well-dressed little girl for the first 3 months! (yes, does need 3-6 month + sizes)
After we finished this fete, we ate lunch & took naps! We had a rather large set of thunderstorms come through which helped with the peaceful naps (NOT!)!!
We had a SUPER DINNER at Beth's house. Klint bought a new grill (& I won't tell how long it took for him to put together :) )& Beth bought out Kroger with things to cook on it...pork loin, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage...plus a HUGE salad, baked beans, REAL mashed potatoes--Beth style with butter, sour cream & cheese, then we had homemade Sundaes! Jaiker and Carolina joined us and it was QUITE a feast! (sorry forgot to take picts)
After supper, instead of going to the fireworks at Bishop Park as we traditionally do, the kids got to do sparklers...Tom & Kinsey were kind of hesitant at first, but once they had their first one, they had so much fun!
